We are currently seeking General Practitioners to join our team at UNE Life Healthcare Centre in Armidale, NSW.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to focus on community health while contributing to a variety of aspects within the centre. Whether you’re interested in full-time or part-time work, we have flexible options available. In addition to providing comprehensive general practice, you’ll have the chance to engage in research initiatives with UNE Medicine. This position is salary-based rather than an independent practitioner.

Regional Australia Bank loans

Regional Australia Bank would like to support health professionals and skilled workers to regional NSW. Regional Australia Bank have partnered with Rural Doctors NSW (RDN) to provide discounted loans and other incentives to RDN staff and members. Similar incentives could be offered to Armidale health professionals, which include a 2% discount on the standard variable home loan rate offered as well as waived mortgage insurance fee for home loans up to 90% loan-to-value ratio.

Regional Australia Bank will offer discounted rates on business or commercial loans as well as offer financial literacy training to support health professionals with opening a business. More information can be found through contacting Regional Australia Bank.

Relocation Grants

There are numerous grants that get offered to GPs and other health professionals that relocate to regional and rural NSW. The value of the grant can vary based on the MMM rating of the region being relocated to. Grants can include:

NSW State Government: These grants are for health professionals relocating to a regional area to take up employment with a NSW Government funded service.

Primary Health Care: relocation grants can be offered through RDN.

RACGP offer Flexible Funding grant to GP Registrars and Supervisors who undertake or provide training in some New England towns, however Armidale isn’t included as an eligible location for a GP to claim the grant.
